1st Music City Brewer's Festival
Saturday, July 27, 2002 - Nashville, Tennessee

A lotta heat, some great beers, good music and a nice turn-out
for this debut festival set in the heart of Tennessee's capital city.
The festival site was Hilton Park, adjacent to the Hilton Hotel, in the shadow of the landmark Bell South tower.
With the Country Music Hall of Fame as a backdrop, festival director Candace Price of Clear Channel Communications (c) is flanked by Susannah Shumate (l) and Whitney Ransom (r) of Nashville's Second Harvest Food Bank, the event's charity.

A host of nationally distributed craft brews were
on tap, including Abita, Rogue and Flying Dog.

Brewer Eileen Martin (r) of Browning's Brewery in Louisville KY with assistant (and fiancee) Joe Macgruder (l). The baseball diamond in the logo refers to the brewery's location in the city's ballpark.
The Buckhead Brewpubs group of Atlanta GA sent brewers Wayne Wambles (cr) and Bobby Krusen (r). With them is Al Krusen Al (cl), and Annie Ueber (l).

Several food vendors were on hand to offer everything from sausages to pizza to sandwiches.
Promoting Shiner Bock was Charles Hartsook (l) of DET Distributing, with vounteer Johnny Hass (r).
Linus (c) and Lila (r) Hall were on hand to promote Yazoo Brewing, their forthcoming new Nashville microbrewery. They shared space with Paul Thompson (l) of All Seasons brew supplies.
The festival was the creation of Clear Channel Communications Group, which has 5 radio stations
in the Nashville market.
